Tok'ra Kree! Round 8. PROMPTING IS NOW OPEN!

Welcome to round 8 of the Tok'ra Kree! Prompt-a-thon!

The time has come to leave prompts for the 8th round. We got a lot of wonderful prompts for the last round, and we hope the same will be the case now!

Prompting is open from November 18th and through December 2nd. Anyone is welcome to leave Tok'ra related prompts on this post - whether you wish to create any fanworks for this round, or not. Leaving multiple prompts is encouraged! You can leave them all in one comment, or in several - it is all good.

The schedule for the rest of the prompt-a-thon can be found here.

How to leave prompts:

  • Prompts should belong to the Stargate universe (SG-1, SGA, SGU, and the original movie). Crossovers are permitted, though, and should be noted in the prompt.
  • Prompts can be for art or fic, or any. If nothing is noted, it will be assumed it is for any.
  • Prompts can be a word, a sentence, a line of dialogue, a quote, a picture, or a longer plot bunny.
  • Prompts can be ship, gen, or any. Tok'ra are listed like this: Samantha Carter|Jolinar (host|symbiote). Pairings should be listed like this: Samantha Carter|Jolinar/Martouf|Lantash.
  • In order to facilitate sorting of the prompts, please include the full name of the characters (i.e. Samantha Carter instead of Sam).
  • Prompts can, but does not have to, include the names of one or more characters.
  • OC characters, including OC Tok'ra, are welcome.
  • You can be as vague or specific as you want to, but you cannot control how someone who chose your prompt (if anyone), will interpret it.
  • It is possible to leave prompts anonymously.
  • You may reuse up to ten prompts from previous rounds R04 | R05 | R06 | R07

Prompts should be left in this format:

Fandom (SG-1, SGA, SGU, pairing/character, prompt word(s)

or

Crossover, (SG-1, SGA, SGU) / other fandom (or SG-1, SGA, SGU), pairing/character, prompt word(s)

Pairings can also be threesomes, foursomes, moresomes.

Examples:

SG-1, Garshaw of Belote, How did she come to be known as "The most hunted Goa'uld of all time"?

Crossover, SG-1/SGA, Aldwin/Teyla Emmagan, She took him to see the sunset from Atlantis.

SG-1, Kanan, alone

SG-1, Jolinar, She had always loved him.

SG-1, Malek/Janet Fraiser, healers

SG-1, Samantha Carter/Martouf|Lantash, "Yes, I suppose this would be considered a date."

SG-1, Samantha Carter/Jack O'Neill, The symbiote in the jar was Tok'ra.

SGA, Steven Caldwell/Carson Beckett and OC Tok'ra, naquadah

SG-1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, shared future

What does it mean that a prompt should be Tok'ra related? It just means that one or more Tok'ra should be included, and should play an important part in the fic/artwork that is later created from the prompt. The Tok'ra should not merely be there as an easy way to get information and/or technology.

If you need them, the rules can be found here (LJ | DW) and the FAQ is here (LJ | DW).

You can find information about each of the Tok'ra (including a picture) here, and about each of the Goa'uld (including a picture and symbol, if known) here Part 1 | Part 2. The information also contains lists of episodes the Tok'ra or Goa'uld have been in. There is also a list of episodes that have a Tok'ra in them. It can be found here.

If you need inspiration, you can find lists of prompts/plot bunnies here: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, previous rounds: R04 | R05 | R06 | R07.

Links to zipped screencaps of all episodes with Tok'ra in can be found here.

SG-1 Prompts:

Any, "Some people said he was a ghost / Wouldn't wanna be his host / Or just to meet him" -excerpt from Boney M's "He Was A Steppenwolf"

Any, A rogue Tok'Ra goes after the Trust on Earth, seeking revenge for his/her fallen companions killed by Hoskins's gas-attacks in "Endgame". The other Tok'Ra & the SGC try & stop the lone vigilante before he/she does more harm than good or unwittingly reveals the existence of aliens to Earth's public.

Robot-Sam (+\- rest of robot-SG1), Jacob|Selmak, While going on an off-world mission with the rest of the team Robo-Sam gets the shock of her life when she discovers that her father has been taken over by a Goa'uld (Jacob|Selmak is undercover, robo-SG1 doesn't know about the Tok'Ra while Tok'Ra don't know about Harlan's SG-1 duplicates. Hijinks ensue!)

Egeria, What if the punishments of Ra's two rebellious queens, Egeria and Hathor, were reversed? What if Ra trapped Egeria inside a Central American sarcophagus while Hathor was removed from her host & placed in a canopic jar off-world on Pangara? What happens when Dr. Kleinhouse & his team unseal the sarcophagus in Central America and discover Egeria there instead of Hathor?

Egeria, Although her body is dying, the Tok'Ra and SG-1 manage to save Egeria by capturing a healthy Goa'uld queen and swapping her consciousness with that of the Tok'Ra queen using Ma'chello's machine. Which queen is used for this task? Maybe Vala|Qetesh? Or maybe Sha're|Amaunet (assuming an earlier point of divergence where she survives events of "Forever in a Day")?

Jacob|Selmak, They don't die – they get healed by the Nox (Tok'Ra were allied to the Tollan and Tollan knew the Nox)

Joe Spencer, Jack O'Neill|Kanan, How would the events of "Citizen Joe" go differently if Jack had remained host to Kanan? We know that Jack saw glimpses of Joe Spencer's life for years and found them "relaxing" – but how would Kanan interpret them? And what secrets of the Tok'Ra would Joe know?

Jack O'Neill, Harry Maybourne, Any Tok'Ra, AU for the episode "Paradise Lost". When Jack O'Neill & Harry Maybourne are transported to the Furling Utopia they find the society there alive and well, inhabited by humans, Furlings and other alien races. Among the paradise's denizens is (one or more) Tok'Ra – possibly even a Tok'Ra queen.

General Miraslov Kiselev, After the events of "Full Alert" the Tok'Ra remove the Goa'uld from inside General Kiselev. How does he react to meeting "good Goa'uld"?

RepliCarter/Martouf|Lantash & Sam Carter/Martouf|Lantash, In a timeline where Martouf|Lantash are alive, RepliCarter kidnaps them. Sam (the original) must find a way to free them.

More SG-1 Prompts:

Anna|Tok'Ra, The goa'uld-human hybrid Anna survives the events of "Resurrection" but she is plagued by Sekhmet's memories and alternate personality. To help her deal with the effects of the goa'uld D.N.A., Anna agrees to become a Tok'Ra host. Can the Tok'Ra help suppress Sekhmet's consciousness? How would the three-way interaction between Anna, her Tok'Ra symbiote and Sekhmet play out?

Apophis & his host, After being captured & tortured by Sokar, Apophis is too injured to retain full control of his host. He has to cooperate with his host for the 1st time to escape Sokar’s clutches.

Sam Carter, Martouf|Lantash, Jacob|Selmak, Any other, The events of “The Road Not Taken” go differently and Sam discovers she is permanently stuck in the alternative universe. She is put to work in Area 51 by President Landry’s dictatorial regime. However, she finds out that in this universe both her father, Selmak and Martouf|Lantash are alive. Sam’s only hope now is to send a message to the Tok’Ra and ask them to help her escape off-world out of Landry’s grasp so that she might continue her efforts to free the galaxy from the Ori. Will the Tok’Ra help her? Who else will assist them (Teal’c perhaps?)?

Samantha Carter|Symbiote, What if Dr. Richard Flemming’s serum in “Nightwalkers” didn’t kill the cloned Goa’uld but just prevented them from taking over an unwilling host? So Sam still succeeds in foiling their plans when she injects herself with Dr. Flemming’s chemical but is now stuck with a symbiote in her head. Do the Tok’Ra remove it? Or can it be “converted” into a Tok’Ra with a combination of Jolinar’s memories & exposure to other Tok’Ra?

Sam Carter|Egeria, According to Daniel in “Mobeus”, he was the only member of SG-1 to survive the failed first rebellion against Ra. But what if Sam survived too and was captured by Ra’s Jaffa? What if Ra then gave her as a host to one of his queens – Egeria? Can be either AU or an “addition” to canon (a.k.a.: what if having Sam as a host is the reason Egeria became Tok’Ra in the first place?).

Col. Chekov/Freya|Anise, After the S.G.C. falls and Earth is invaded by the Goa'uld, Freya|Anise is sent there to help a Russian resistance cell.

Daniel|Merlin, Any Tok'Ra, After the events of "The Shroud" Merlin's consciousness does not leave Daniel's mind. The Tok'Ra of your choice is brought in to teach Daniel and Merlin how two minds can share a body in the long-term.

Daniel Jackson, Any, Daniel thought that the timeline was restored to normal after SG-1's doppelgangers helped ensure Ra didn't take the Giza Stargate during the uprising. But then ANOTHER timejumper showed up, this time crewed by people who should have been dead. (Which Tok'Ra/Tau'ri is part of the time-traveling crew is up to you)

Daniel Jackson, Rosha|Jolinar, After touching the Quantum Mirror on P3R-233, Daniel finds himself in an alternative reality where he was never part of the Stargate Program and Earth is under the attack of Apophis. Unfortunately for him, when he gates to Earth General Jack O'Neill and other members of the “S.G.A.” assume he is a Goa'uld spy. And so Daniel finds himself in one of the prison cells deep beneath Cheyenne Mountain - right next to a captured enemy combatant, who claims to be Jolinar of Malkshur, a member of the anti-Goa'uld underground sent to help Earth…

US President|Tok’Ra, The Goa’uld’s plan in “Divide and Conquer” works and the za'tarc(s) attack both the Tok’Ra delegation and the US President. Finding himself severely wounded and bleeding out on the gateroom floor, the US president agrees to become a host for one of the dying Tok’Ra (possibly Per'sus) next to him. What happens now?

S.G.A. Prompts:

Any, When establishing ties with one of the local Pegasus cultures Dr. Elizabeth Weir is gifted a canopic jar. Who is inside and how did they end up in Pegasus? (Please don't use the tired "the canopic jar breaks/is damaged and the symbiote takes nearest person as host" trope)

Any Tau’ri, Any Tok’Ra, AU for the episode “McKay and Mrs. Miller”. Instead of ‘Rod’, a Tok’Ra of your choice comes through the matter bridge to stop McKay's & Miller's experiment.

AR-1 team, Any Tok'Ra, AU for the episode “The Daedalus Variations”. When John Sheppard and his team are exploring the transdimensional Daedalus they find a survivor of a previous boarding party from another reality – and it just happens to be a Tok'Ra who is dead in the “main” reality. When the team reverses the alternate reality drive the Tok'Ra goes back with them to the “main” reality since the drive will burn out before reaching his/her reality. (Bonus points if the Tok'Ra is Zarin or Ocker or some other Tok'Ra that doesn't feature prominently in the fandom)

(Any host)|Kanan, Kanaan of Athos, When Kanan (the Tok’Ra) travels to Atlantis, he meets Kanaan (the Athosian). Fun & hilarious name-related miscommunications ensue!

John Sheppard, Any Tok’Ra, After the Ancients retook Atlantis in “The Return”, John was put to work at the S.G.C. as a leader of an SG team in the Milky Way. But never having gone through the ‘gate before joining the Atlantis expedition, John should have no knowledge of the cultures, planets and enemies lurking in the Milky Way, right? So what if the S.G.C. decided to use this opportunity to reestablish ties with the Tok’Ra and got one of the Tok’Ra operatives to be a member of John’s team, to advise him on the interactions with the locals of the M.W. galaxy?

Ronon Dex, Any Tok’Ra, As world after world in Pegasus falls to Michael Kenmore while the I.O.A. slowly evacuates Atlantis, the Tok’Ra learn of this and decide that if allowed to continue unchecked Michael will pose a threat to Milky Way too. With the help of the S.G.C., the Tok’Ra Council sends operatives & technology to Pegasus to help Ronon’s newly-established army. Now the tactics that helped bring down System Lords in the past are deployed in a new galaxy to fight another threat. (Set in the alternative timeline seen in “The Last Man”)

Prompts for any show:

SG-1 team (or AR-1 team, or Destiny crew) + Any Tok'Ra, The SGC (or Atlantis, or Destiny) encounters an alien species based on the description provided by this random generator: http://www.scifiideas.com/alien-species-generator/ . The Tok'Ra are either the ones to introduce the aliens and the Earthlings to each other or are there to make 1st contact alongside the Tau'ri. Everything else is up to you (the author) and the generator!

Any Tok'ra, add a Tok'ra character to an episode that does not have Tok'ra. How is the episode changed?

^(repeat prompt from the last few times)

SG-1 Prompts:

Daniel Jackson, Jacob Carter|Selmak, Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter, At some point in the past Cronus finds an Ancient lab with schematics for a Destiny-class ship. After studying the design, he incorporates a number of the Ancient ship's features including an onboard Stargate, solar power collectors (as an emergency power source) and an FTL drive (as a backup propulsion system in case hyperdrive is down) into his flagship. These changes alter the events of the episode "Enemies" - when SG-1 (minus Teal'c) & Jacob|Selmak are stuck in a distant galaxy and are forced to hide Cronus's Hat'ak in the corona of a blue-giant star, Sam proposes they deploy the solar power collectors and try to dial Earth from inside the sun (much like what was tried in SG:U episode "Twin Destinies"). Unfortunately, solar activity and wormholes don't mix well and either the crew or the entire ship ends up being displaced in time (as indeed happened in SG:U "Twin Destinies"). Where (& when) they end up is up to you.

Apophis, Daniel Jackson, Jacob Carter|Selmak, Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter, Teal'c, Like the above prompt but this time the action occurs after Apophis takes over the ship so that he, his loyal Jaffa and Teal'c (+/- the Replicator stowaways) are all present as well for the time-travel.

Fifth, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, how would the episode “Unnatural Selection” go if Samantha Carter was host to Jolinar at the time?

Sam Carter, rest of SG-1 team, Any Tok’Ra, while visiting a planet with a Hindu-derived culture Sam is declared by the locals to be a “Kumari Devi” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumari_%28goddess%29 ) and is taken away to become a host for the planet’s ruling Goa’uld who will arrive in a few days. The rest of SG-1 must work with their Tok’Ra allies to free Sam before it’s too late.

SG-1 team, Svarog, Tok'Ra character(s) of your choice, It turns out that when Svarog's Hat'ak was "sent away" by the Sentinel of Latona an important Tok'Ra spy was on board at the time. Since the operative had vital and time-sensitive information, SG-1 and the Tok'Ra must do their best to rescue him/her. Where exactly did Svarog & his forces end up? Will SG-1 and the Tok'Ra be able to follow?

Prompts from previous rounds:

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, garden party with SG-1

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, She had to admit approaching them like that had been an experiment at first - triggered by a memory from Jolinar. Soon, however, she found she could not stop herself. One kiss lead to another, and now she knew she loved them. It didn't matter if the love had been triggered by something leftover from Jolinar - it was her love now.

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, timetravel

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, Undercover

SGA, McKay/Anise, something happens and McKay ends up as her host.

SG-1, any Tok'ra, (From Tok'ra I, Teal'c: "According to Jaffa legend, the Tok'ra are the Goa'uld resistance. Their stated goal is the destruction of the System Lords and a change in the ways of the empire. They are hunted and despised by the Goa'uld." Jack O'Neill: "Yes! My kinda guys!") This was how the Tok'ra were viewed and showed in the first seasons we saw them - season 2 and 3. That is how they should have continued being seen. Please rewrite a later episode with this sentiment intact!

SG-1, any Tok'ra, some archaeologists find a stasis jar and some hand devices and stuff. SG-1 goes to investigate and by accident the jar breaks and one of SG-1 becomes a host. The symbiote is Tok'ra.

SG-1, Anise, her first host

SG-1, Anise|Freya +/ Daniel, there's a new interesting find in Egypt and Anise|Freya is invited to Earth to help figure it out.

SG-1, Anise|Freya, tell me of their blending

Prompts from before:

SG-1, Sam|Jolinar, Jolinar flashes her eyes at Jack before she pushes him through the Gate in “In the Line of Duty”.

SG-1, Sam|Jolinar, they survive the attack by the Ashrak, but the NID still manages to officially get 'custody' of them. They manage to escape during transport, but where do they go from there?

SG-1, Jack|Kanan/Shallan, Kanan lives, in Jack. They pursue Kanan's love, Shallan, and she accepts them. Tell us the story.

SG-1, Rosha|Jolinar/Martouf|Lantash, how did they become mates? Where Jolinar and Lantash together before Rosha and Martouf?

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, every time he was close, a flurry of memories from Jolinar would come - sometimes fairly erotic ones. It could be...distracting, if they were just trying to work together. She could not tell if the almost irresistible draw he had on her came from Jolinar, herself, or both, but it was too strong to ignore. One day she gave up trying to hide her attraction, and she never regretted it.

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, Marty is a system lord and sg1 is capture by him. He has maybe lost memory and thinks he is Goa’uld after d&c but he and Lantash are alive. (prob Lantash is in control then)

SG-1, Sam/Martouf|Lantash, they are on a mission together, spying on the Goa'uld. Sam is the only one from SG-1 who could come (or wanted to come).

SG-1, Jack/Thoran, Kanan and Thoran were lovers, and these feelings were transferred to Jack during their brief blending. Eventually Jack accepts these emotions and approaches Thoran, unable not to act on the feelings. The outcome is unexpected, and they become lovers.

SGA, Aldwin and Jacob/Selmak and Martouf/Selmak and SG-1, the people on Atlantis activates an Ancient device which pulls SG-1, Jacob/Selmak, Aldwin, Martouf/Lantash through time from the Tel’tak they were travelling in on the way back from Netu. Author's choice if it messes completely with the timeline, only messes a little, or if the device somehow creates identical quantum copies or whatever before pulling the originals through so nothing changes with the timeline. How does the season three humans, Tok'ra and Jaffa react to suddenly being in the future on Atlantis?

SG-1, Martouf|Lantash (Ripple Effect AU), let's here some more about their universe and one of their missions

(Anonymous) 2015-12-02 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
SG-1 prompts:

Jolinar --- A previous host of Jolinar's ascended and has returned to save her (...from the Tau'ri? Netu? Cronus?)

Any --- A girl is freed from life as a Goa’uld host, but when she starts to age she decides to become host to a Tok’ra and live again- and this time, have a real life.

Any -- A strange young man is on the run after (finally) suppressing the Goa’uld symbiote who has controlled him for so long. After discovering that his people are useless as hosts, the Goa’uld whipped them out and now he seeks refuge with the Tokra. But rather then having them remove he Goa’uld, he decides to try turning the Goa’uld into a Tokra. To the delight of the Tokra, it seems to be working. But boy, do they have some secrets to hide!

Jolinar -- she survives and Cassandra becomes her host

Martouf/Lantash, Rosha/"Jolinar" -- Years after Martouf/Lantash thought they had lost their mates, Jolinar & Rosha, they have returned. But things are not as they seem and soon it is apparent that while Rosha may have returned, she is now the host of a Goa’uld, not Jolinar. How far will they have to go to save her? (Set sometimes after Jolinar’s Memories & The Devil You Know because angst)

Jolinar, any-- What if Jolinar {and Rosha? Or Jacob/Selmak) managed to survive and return to the Tok'ra, but were now addicted to the sarcophagus and brainwashed into turning traitor and becoming a Goa’uld like Cordesh? How would things have turned out?

Any -- a Tok'ra on the run crashes in to a planet and is forced to request help from the inhabitants there, who turn out to be Egeria worships. (Set before the whole Pangar incident)

Jolinar/host, Lantash/host -- Lantash meets Jolinar while she is still a Goa’uld and serves in her court.

SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, something goes terribly wrong at a point in time of your choice, and the only way to fix it is by using a machine which will send her consciousness back in time to July, 1998 (ca. timeline for "In the Line of Duty"). The catch? In order to fix the future she has to find a way to convince Jolinar of what's going on, convince Jolinar to allow her (Sam) full control of her own body so she can explain it to her team/General Hammond, and remain a Tok'ra host in order to prevent the catastrophic event in the future that was. Piece of cake, right? Not so much.

SGA, Elizabeth Weir|Tok'ra, any, Elizabeth became a Tok'ra host at some point prior to "First Strike" and as a result the symbiote is able to heal her either before or after Dr. Keller performs the decompressive craniectomy. It's up to you if someone capable of using the Goa'uld Healing Device is there to lend an extra helping hand.

SGA, Elizabeth Weir|Tok'ra, any, the Tok'ra symbiote is able to come up with an idea on how to save the City from the Asuran Weapons Satellite in "First Strike" before they have to lower the shields in order to conserve power.

SGA, John Sheppard|Tok'ra, during "The Return" Sheppard and his team are helping the Tok'ra with a mission. The mission goes wrong and leaves Sheppard to make a choice between medical discharge with a long rehabilitation on Earth, or become a Tok'ra host and fight for the right to keep his position as military commander of Atlantis.

SGA, Laura Cadman|Tok'ra, while she was on rotation on Earth she ended up becoming a Tok'ra host, how does this affect her return to the City?

SGA, Ronon Dex|Tok'ra &or/ John Sheppard, a few Tok'ra have been helping out the Atlantis Expedition for some time and Ronon befriended one of them, when the host is mortally injured he volunteers. How does their next fight with the Wraith go?

SGA, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, Jolinar's POV of any part of Sam's time as Atlantis Commander, and how Jolinar's presence may or may not have changed it.

SGA, Teyla Emmagan|Tok'ra, Teyla is a fierce warrior on her own, but how would she change if she became a host? And what would it take to convince her to allow an alien into her body and mind, knowing it has the ability to completely control her?

SGA/SG1, any, sometime before "The Return, Part 1" the Tau'ri and the Tok'ra re-negotiate their alliance and among the new concessions is an agreement that [x number] of Tok'ra join the Atlantis Expedition and [x number] of the Expedition members become hosts.

SGA/SG1, AR-1, any Tok'ra, due to politics at least two Tok'ra have to join an Atlantis Reconnaissance team. Team Sheppard has to accept one of them. How do they react, and how does their first mission go?

SGA/SG1, Cameron Mitchell/John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell|Tok'ra/John Sheppard(|Tok'ra), Cam becomes a host and now he has to figure out a way to explain it to his boyfriend, who just so happens to be in another Galaxy.

SGA/SG1, Egeria, AU where Egeria survived and has a Tau'ri host. Things are not going well for the Tok'ra in the Milky Way and the upper brass volunteers Atlantis as a kind of inter-galactic witness protection for their queen, in exchange for something they want/need.

SGA/SG1, Elizabeth Weir|Egeria, Elizabeth becomes host to Egeria prior to taking over the SGC, and when the Expedition is green-lighted Elizabeth is still chosen as the civilian leader. How does the other Tok'ra react to the news, and are any others coming along? What about Jaffa?

SGA/SG1, Freya|Anise & Rodney McKay, in order to solve some kind of problem McKay requests help from Earth and in reply they send Freya|Anise.
